We would like to start off by thanking everyone for their thoughts and prayers for Bryan's recovery. We would also like to thank LAPD for all their hard work on this case. We are overwhelmed with many emotions today, and will post further tomorrow regarding that.

That being said, there has been comments and postings regarding Bryan's past. Bryan was not perfect...nobody is. In the 20 years since, Bryan turned his life around; became a father and settled into a career of helping people. Regardless of his history, he in NO way deserved this. His children most certainly did not deserve it.

We ask for respect for Bryan, our family and especially Bryan's children who were put in this situation without just cause and ask that everyone refrain from posting any judgemental comments.

For Bryan's supporters, thank you and keep Bryan in you're thoughts and prayers.

Dave, Ann, Erin and Bonnie

No suspects were ARRESTED, per se. Several people from a certain apartment building were DETAINED. There is a difference, and a very important one.

The story I heard it from is the link above.

I don't know Bryan. But to think anyone would post negative things about his "past" is disgusting. We all have "stuff." Would those people like their "stuff" posted online for all the world to see? Bryan and his family did not deserve all that has happened. Sounds to me like Bryan's career of helping people means he had a giant heart and a good soul. For those of you who have zero mistakes in your life...congratulations. Must be nice. My prayers and love to to Bryan and his family.

People that talk about the past should be glad he turned his life around, I had two brothers that never did and now they aren't with us,, so to hear a story about people that have makes me smile. But nobody deserve what happened to Bryan, We live in a sick world and pray they charge the guys to the max and the court system works, and gves them what they deserve. Every day I check Bryan's status and I hope and pray that he awakes from this bad dream. It seams like your family is very strong thru thick and thin, andmy thoghts and prayers are with you.

I woke up this morning to see all kinds of posts on my FB page from different people about the arrests and then immediately turned on the news to get more info. I had goosebumps reading and hearing about the arrests; I cannot even begin to imagine how you as a family must feel. I am sickened to think anyone is posting or saying anything negative about Bryan's past...... we all have pasts..... that bears no relevance on anything that is going on right now.
You all are always in my thoughts and prayers. We are all behind you Bryan and hoping and praying for your recovery. :)

I am so happy he is doing better. It is driving me kind of crazy but he looks familiar to me and to my mother Jennifer Watson. That being said anyone who would hold a persons PAST against them needs to learn to look to the future. It is wrong to make someone regret something they did. And to say that their past justifies being beaten almost to death is rude and cowardly.

He is in mine and my familys thoughts. Hope he continues improving.

To The Entire Stow Family & Friends,
I am thrilled to hear of this mornings arrest(s). I hope justice comes to those involved. Although I have not personally read anything regarding Bryan's past, it has absolutely nothing to do with what happened to him. For anyone to think otherwise is just ignorant. Nobody deserves what happened to Bryan and your family. There is no excuse for such animalistic behavior and disregard for life.

I continue to wish Bryan and all of your family and friends strength, peace, love and support during this time of recovery. You all continue to be an inspiration!

Many continued prayers and healing vibes from the Shrout Family. I know my husband, kids, and the rest of the Dodger/So Cal community wish the best in this tough time of recovery for Bryan and you all. Today is my 40th birthday adn 12th wedding anniversary, and I am thankful for each and EVERY day I have with my family, and more so because of what you all and Bryan have endured at the hands of two that DO NOT represent the greater majority of us. It is on this day that I would pray and wish that Bryan make a full recovery and get back to living the life he deserves with his wonderful family. NO judgments from us, we all have lives we have lived and are living. Again we send nothing but love, respect, healing vibes and prayers continued and know you and Bryan are in our hearts and thoughts now and always!

Much Love

Bryan and all his family members remain in my prayers... I'm glad to hear the LAPD has a suspect in custody and that guilt or innocence will be obvious so that the right snakes who did this will be flushed out of their holes and brought to justice.

Dear Stow Family,
I live in Ohio and have been following the case closely. I am praying for your family and for Bryan to make a full recovery. Thank you for the time and effort you are putting into this blog. It's wonderful to hear about the progress as small and as slow as it may be. May justice prevail.

Like many other people, I too have been soo deeply saddened by this horrific incident. I think of you all often and pray for healing! May you all be blessed with many happy memories in the future! My heart breaks and my stomach aches from the attack on you. I am sickened that people could bring themselves to act like animals instead of humans. I praise God for the progress that Bryan is making, and continue to pray that one day soon we are rejoicing with you all at Bryan's complete recovery! I also hope that your experience can be used as an example to others!

First off I would like to say that Brian and his family are in my thoughts and prayers! I don't know them personally but I do know that no one deserves to have to go through this. To all you ignorant people who have the nerve to try and bring up Brian's past and throw negativity at him and his family! I'll pray you never have to go through this yourselves! Grow up! It's doesn't matter what choices this man may have made in THE PAST! What matters is that he changed to become the person he is NOW! I continue to pray for his recovery! I hope that the people who did this to him will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the Law!

I remember somewhere in the Bible Jesus saying "He who is without sin, let them be the first to cast a stone." That being said, I would like to meet ONE person on this Earth who does NOT have a skeleton in their closet. I have many as I am sure many, many do especially from their youth. We aren't proud of them but then we grow up, become responsible adults and lead very fulfilling, descent lives. Now...this isn't about Bryan's youth. This is about a man, father, son, brother, uncle who was beaten to an inch of his life. This is about Bryan's family who need all of us with them NOW offering our prayers and love to them and Bryan and any other support we can give them. Please everyone...concentrate on the here and now. Support, Love and Pray for Bryan's complete recovery and to give the family strength. This is going to be a long road traveled and we need to stick together <3

In a time like this, the last thing the family should have to worry about is defending this man's integrity and honor. NO ONE IS PERFECT. Regardless, he is our brother....he is a father, a son, a husband and a friend. He is fighting for his life at this very minute....his loved ones are in desperate pain and emotional torture - empathy, my friends, empathy. I for one keep praying for him and his family..and will continue to do so until his eyes open and his children receive their first hug from their daddy. I ask you do the same.

I have never posted on anything like this or on this page for that matter. Yet I have been through something much different and yet so much the same. You see, my parents were killed in the plane crash off the California Coast in January 2000. I didn't ask to be orphaned. I also didn't ask for the heartless comments from other people such as: "if they were such good Christians God wouldn't have taken them" or "at least the plane wasn't full". WHAT? All the media and other things that happened during our tragedy (like the airline wanting to know how my parents spent their money or how they lived was irrelevant to the fact THEY killed them) You too, live and have to cope in the lime-light of the media. No one can understand what that is like unless you've experienced it. Nothing is private or sacred. People don't respect that.

So all I can say to the Stow Family is unless someone walks in your shoes they are ignorant and heartless. I follow this page faithfully and prayerfully every day. I watched on line his transport. My heart aches for you all. Unfortunately our world is full of people that build themselves up by putting others down especially at a time of tragedy. I know you have a LONG road ahead of you. Please know that this one soul who's walked an unimaginable path knows that of the few that say hurtful mean things, there are hundreds who love and support you. I being one.
Sending thoughts of love, prayers and hope.

God Bless you all.

First let me say how wonderful it is that the police caught one of the guys responsible for what happened to Bryan and hopefully God willing the other man and woman will be caught very soon..... As far as your post today it saddeneds me to hear theat someone would say anything negative about Bryan.. Those in glass houses should not throw stone.. No one is perfect but I can guarentee Bryans love for his children and family is unconditional as is their love for him and that is perfect. It hurts my heart for the Stow family that on top of everything else they have to deal with this as well..

Please know there are tens of thousands of people all over the US/world pulling for Bryan, his children and family... My hearts deepest prayers go out to you all every day and I send you all my postiive thoughts and inner strength.. My mother is a stage 4 cancer survivor and I know first hand the power of positive thoughts and prayers... I know Bryan will come back to you all when his body has healed itself enough to fight this head on...

Love & prayers,

I don't know Bryan's past and it's none of my business! I do know Bryan's present and it breaks my heart that he and his family are having to endure all this heartache.
It makes me sick to think that ANYONE would feel the need to be negative regarding Bryan in such a tramatic time in his life. Who cares if he was a saint or not 20 years ago!
All I care to say to you, Bryan and family, there is so much love and prayers coming your way! To hell with the idiots! Damn them! The only things I'm listening to is your updates, and I'm waiting for that miracle.
Stay strong!

we all have pasts but the biggest thing that makes us trully human is that we all in one way or another have faults...those that are strong enough to break those habits should be commended not chastised. Those who look past the past of the person and call them a friend is a friend indeed...We are all with fault and no one is perfect but to bring up negativity in a time like this shows the lack of class and false belief in the human spirit to overcome their odds...peace and blessings to everyone and for Bryan to feel the positive vibes from everyone in his extended family both in Northern and Southern Cali

We shall praise God in all moments in life. I have been praying since we first heard of this tragic story. Its been reminded constantly that this site is solely for encouragement only. Shame on anyone who uses this site for negativity. This whole thing started out of negativity and hate...that's what's wrong with this world. It doesn't matter what anyone has done in there past.. NOONE DESERVES THIS! Our God lives and forgives. Continued prayers from my little family to yours! Do not become discouraged...galatians 6:9 " so let's not get tired of doing what is good. at just the right time we will reap a harvest a blessing if we don't give up
Therefore, whenever wehave the opportunity,we should do good to everyone - especially to those in the family of faith." With much love and respect ,the gomez-scott family

Continued daily thoughts and prayers go out to Bryan and his family from his extended EMS family in Alabama. I firmly believe that ALL those connected with the assault on Bryan will be brought to justice and I am thrilled that they have one person in custody. On another note, I know personally that who I am today is NOT the same person I was 20 years ago and THANK GOD for that!!! I sincerely doubt that anyone who would be so juvenile or judgemental of Bryan's past would in any way want a light shown on there pasts. Funny how those with the most to hide are the first to throw stones at someone else, hmm? The true test of a person's greatness is in overcoming a difficult past in order to be an example to others of what determination and perseverence can do to make you a benefit and blessing and in Bryan's case a servant to his fellow man. He is to be commended on what he is today...an inspiration to people everywhere!!! To Bryan's family, ignore the ignorant and negative because unfortunately it will always rear it's head no matter what...those that matter know who Bryan is and the man he has worked hard to become while the rest of us who made it to adulthood know we each have things in our pasts we'd rather forget...we get it! Stay strong for each other and know that you have a lot of support and love and prayers being sent your way daily!!!

Love and Prayers out to Bryan, his family, friends and supporters from all over the globe. I do not know Bryan, though I have been following this closely from the first day. I myself am proud to be a Paramedic previously at AMR, as are my husband, son and brother, along with hundreds of friends. I am proud to be a friend and family member from Bryan's EMS family, there are tens of thousand of us out here who provide support in one way or another daily. I do not know of Bryans past, and I do not care. What I do know, is that he has a beautiful supportive family and his beautiful children who need him to come back to them. Bryans past is just that, the past. It matters not whatever may have been in that past that these other people are talking about, surely could not ever have lead to him deserving this horrific trial in his life or his family's lives.
God Speed Bryan, we are all here waiting for you to awaken from this nightmare!!

Please don't let the nay sayers get you down! Bryan's past has made him who he is today! He is a wonderful man, father, medic, and friend! When I worked with Bryan and was going through a rough time personally, Bryan was there to encourage me, give me one of his amazing hugs, and bring a smile to my face daily!! I know I'm not the only one who can say this! Many of us have not one negative thing to say about Bryan! He is one of a kind, and I believe that's why the Lord has had him on the hearts of sooo many. He is very special to his family, friends, and the Lord! May our God give his family peace and bring swift justice to those guilty of this horrendous act. You remain in my prayers daily.

Some people just aren't human. They lack a soul, a conscience, a heart. They kick people when they are down because it makes them feel good. Pretty sick. But please ignore these so-called human beings and relish in the thoughts of all the millions of people who are praying for your family and thinking of Bryan every single day. I live in the Bay Area and it's funny but I was glad he was moved here because I felt my prayers and thoughts would get to him faster! Doesn't make sense I know. Everyone who is a decent human being is holding you in their hearts. We love you!

My husband and I live on the Central Coast and were at the Giants-Dodgers game that night, our first and probably last visit to Dodger Stadium. We've followed Bryan's progress ever since and want to let the Stow family know how much you all are in our thoughts and prayers. I'm glad that an arrest has been made and hope the others will be caught soon. I'm really happy to hear that Bryan is improving. You have our heartfelt support.

I just want to say for Brian that turning your life around is one of the hardest things to do. The success rate is very very low. Brian deserves credit for that hard work that many will never understand.
Sunday, May 22, 2011 5:38 PM
I just read an article online they caught one the suspects! My heart was pounding, I am excited for your family that hopefully they can nail all the people invovled and get justice! I am sad to hear people ba mouthing his past that is just not right, yes we all make mistakes and the important thing was he did the right thing and he turned his life around so who he is today shouldnt be put on judgement for what he did when he was a teenager/early adult hood. I know my brother was in a mess of stuff high school even til about 25 until he started turning his life around and it was all taken away on the night before his 32 birthday by some guy hitting him in the head and he past away from going brain dead. Regardless of his past he didnt deserve it and like you said neither do the kids! They need their father and I hope this ray of light with these guys getting caught and sharing the news with Bryan will help him wake up faster!

WOW, never had I thought I could ride the spectrum of emotion in such a short time !! I was happily awoken to the news of the arrest today !! I celebrated, thanked the Lord and sent my morning prayers off to Bryan and his family with such happy positive thoughts behind them. Then only short couple hours later, I read the post from the family, and hear (for the first time) of negative postings of Bryan's past !! I went from elated to angered in milla-seconds !! How dare anyone cast such negativity !! How dare anyone subject Bryan's family and children to such horrific postings !! Last time I checked, only 1 walked this earth that was perfect, and his hands and feet bear the scars to prove it !!! Obviously these scandalous postings come from some who have their own embarassing skeltons in the closet !! So now I mellow myself, feel pity for those who, to make themselves feel better, felt the need to attack Bryan and his family in such a manner, and silently thank God for all of those out there who continue to send prayer, who know that no person is perfect but knows this injustice inflicted on Bryan and his family should never have happened to anyone !!! Never stop believing in faith, the power of prayer and never stop believing in Bryan !!! xoxo to the Stow Family !!

Anyone who has posted negative comments about Bryan is pretty brainless and pathetic. I hope the family realizes that there is much more support and good will towards Bryan and his battle than any negative idiot can muster. My prayers are for his recovery. As for the individuals who put him in this state, may justice be swift and unmerciful. LWOP sounds perfect. (life in prison without parole).

I can not believe that some people are bringing up Bryans past ....At a time like this ???? I have a past ..anyone who lives has a past ....what does that matter....It is what he has done NOW that counts...We all have to go thro what we go thro to become the person we are now....Ignore them....seems like there is negative trying to get in our way but we will not stop praying for Bryan....we will not stop honoring and respecting a man who has done so much for other people.....It is NOW that we live ...not the past !!!!
Still keeping you all in my prayers and special ones for Bryan...... AS Coleman , (a five year old who past away from cancer) would say "Neva Div Up" .... Dod (God) is taking care of us" ...and so I shall !!!!!

My ♥love ♥for the Stow family and Bryan has not change. I never meet Bryan in person but the person I have come to learn from the web site and posting is a wonderful daddy, son and brother. That is the Bryan I know. That is the person I pray for.
Thank God people change, I know if you meet me 10-15 years ago you would not like me... heck.... I didn't like myself that much.. But I have change and I hope people see me for who I am and not what I was.
I love Bryan and his family. They have so much love and respect for each other. That is why Bryan is that special person. He is a very caring person that has help so many people. Bryan is a good person that like myself and others had made a mistake. He is no longer that person he was he is a great person and that's who I pray for.

☛This is a good day as it sounds that the LAPD have the perps that have done this horrible crime I can't wait to read more about this. I knew they would get them.. I just hope the women that drove off with them gets punishment as well.

I hope this can bring the Stow family & Christi some comfort.

As always I will be keeping the family of bryan in my prayer.
May God keep you near him in this time of need.
♥Love,

Don't listen to any negative comments. Bryan was out there making a difference in peoples lives. Nobody is perfect but there is much to say about those who put their butts on the line everyday to make others lives better and give of themselves unconditionally. I don't care what dirt is out there. Bryan Stow is a Paramedic and EMS professional. People have probably lost count of the people who's lives have been touched by him. In my eyes just like all in EMS. He is a hero and nobody should ever forget that. I would have been proud to have served with him. You all hang in there, especially you Bryan.

Seriously?? Someone really DID that? What can you SAY to that kind of thing? There are CLEARLY some mental issues at hand there, and the best thing to do is ignore comments from people who don't know Bryan and are just looking for shock value~
This may sound crazy, but I almost lost my dog the other day in a fight with a raccoon. I was completely freaked out thinking he was gonna die. (and come to find out, he wasn't even that hurt, just sore!) Anyway, in the days after that, I couldn't help but keep thinking about Bryan's Mom, and wondering how, if I love my DOG that much, I just can't IMAGINE how she feels about her son!!!! It put the "mother" aspect in a whole different light for me. (NOT that a father's or sister's love is any less, it's just different).
So Ann, I hope your family and friends are a comfort to you in this time. You are MUCH respected for holding it all together during the worst time of your life. Your strength is inspirational!

I continue to wish Bryan and you, his family all the best. I totally agree that any negativity toward him, is another form of evil. I have zero interest in his past. I was sitting on my table eating my cheerios sipping on coffee when KFI went right to the news alert. My fist went up in the air and a shiver overcame all of me. What a wonderful way to start my Sunday. Those that have nothing nice to say here should say nothing. There is only one perfect person, that is God. We all learn from our mistakes and do good in the future. That was Bryan! Prayers to all of you

Dear family of Brian,
I was just browsing through the web, and found out this story today. It moved me to tears to think of the cruelty of these attackers, and I hope one day they will have some genuine remorse. it seems these days there are a shortage of men willing, or in some cases allowed to be a real Father. Having grown up with out one, my heart goes out to hear of a family man attacked so. But with lots of prayers from around the world, and from your family, I believe that God can do a miracle in Bryan's life. Don't give up hope, or believing. There are toll free 24 hour prayerlines available, to call. You could search online, and also call churches for prayer, and support, too. All sincere prayerlines are free, and will not charge you. Sometimes I have visited people in the hospital and just read them psalms. Psalms 23 is good. They can be very comforting to people in recovery. Well, I have to go now. I will tell our little prayer group here in Manitoba about it. The more prayer, the better. It sounds like you have a lot of well wishers from around the world, and good Doctors, too. It's hard to end this . Everyone who reads this that prays, lets pray for a Father's Day miracle for Bryan, that God will restore this man back to his loving family. We need the Fathers in our land, in your nation, and in ours. And you Fathers out there who don't visit your kids, your kids really need you, I hope you visit them, but thats another topic. Peace. Marlene.

WHAT A BIRTHDAY PRESENT! Progress in the case. Thank you LAPD and all of the other Law Enforcement Agencies that worked tirelessly on this case.

This is one of the absolutely best things that could have happened on the day of my birth and another great reason for a celebration today.

Love, Hugs and Kisses to all of the Stow Family! We are all wearing our Stow Gear daily here in FL and think about you all constantly!

Can't say how happy we are. Now... time to concentrate on Bryan's Recovery!

Love you all!

BIG THANKS to the detectives and patrol officers of the LAPD Northeast Division. Most folks will never know just how much dedication and hard work goes into policing a diverse urban community like Los Angeles. It ain't no CSI like you see on television, with glamorously-lit offices and high-tech equipment gleaming on every desk. Nope, it's about men and women going to work every day in aging patrol cars or windowless squad rooms. It's about cops watching the streets and the criminals more closely than they probably watch their own children growing up. True community service often requires personal sacrifice, something that cops (and, ahem, paramedics) understand well. So thanks again, LAPD NE Division.

To the Stow family, I wish that you hadn't had to see those unkind postings regarding Bryan's past and legal issues. I was really hoping they would stay sub-rosa on a few comments pages and pass unnoticed, because they were hurtful words that served no constructive purpose. I was surprised to see such a thing, but it did make me reflect on how none of us are perfect. I remember my own wilder days in college, a time I'm grateful to have survived without having done any harm to myself or anyone else. We all make mistakes. Try not to let the words of a few internet trolls affect you in any way... the ravings of attention-seeking trolls are not to be countenanced, and are best ignored entirely.

Here's to the Great Hodge!

SO VERY SORRY FOR THE ATTACK ON BRYAN!!! WHAT A PRECIOUS PRECIOUS PRECIOUS MAN!! I AM SO ANGERED THAT ANYONE WOULD SAY ANYTHING NEGATIVE ABOUT BRYAN'S PAST AT A TIME LIKE THIS. THAT'S ALMOST AS OFFENSIVE AS THE MONSTERS WHO DID THIS!! PEOPLE ARE SO HEARTLESS!!! WE LOVE YOU BRYAN, YOU ARE SO PRECIOUS!!!

I don't know what was said about Bryan and I don't care.

What I do know about Bryan is that he's a paramedic somebody that helps people and saves lives. Could the people that put up the negative posts say they help people? I doubt it.

Stow family we'll always be there for you in our love and prayers for you.

My grandmother has a saying, "God gave me two ears, things go in one ear and out the other'

We wish we could just take a way the pain this has caused.

I have not heard anything about Bryan's past or any comments about him other than prayers for his recovery. I cannot believe that people would comment about his past. This has no bearing on whether he deserved what happened to him. No one deserves what happened to him, no matter what. He was beaten gy thugs for no reason.
Did these thugs have a grudge against him for something he did many years ago, NO!! They are bad men who deserve to go to jail for what they did. Bryan and his family do not deserve any of this.
I think of Bryan everyday and I hope he will heal and be home with his children soon.

I am amazed at how heartless some people can be. Excuse me....Jesus Christ is the only perfect one. How dare people forget their own shortcomings to rant and rave about someone else. As Jerry Lewis once said during one of the MD Telethons many years ago, "For those who understand, no answer is necessary. For those who do not, no answer will suffice." Walk in someone else's shoes before you start throwning stones.

Three cheers to all law enforcement officers who have been searching for Bryan's attackers. Hard work has brought good things, and hopefully, this is just the beginning of more good things to come.

God gave us another sip of his rain this afternoon. So again, gentle West Texas winds are carrying prayers to you and heaven. Gentle vibes, Georgana

As a Los Angeleno, I felt terrible about what happened to Bryan and, of course, to his family as well. I am so glad they have one of his attackers in custody. They'll get the others too. Unfortunately, the ordeal doesn't stop when the last person is brought to justice because Bryan is still recovering. I'm going to donate again, and Angelenos if we can't give financial support, we can at least keep praying for him and the family. Los Angeles is full of good people. So let's prove it. To the Stow's, you are still in our thoughts and prayers.

Just checking in today as always for news on Bryan's condition. So glad there is progress on the case. I have been praying for justice for Bryan and his full recovery. Another "step" in the right direction. I don't know what recent comments have been made about Bryan and his past but, please hear me Stow family, it is not worth a damn. Every single person who walks this earth has and will continue to make mistakes and it does not make us bad and deserving of something horrible to befall us, it just makes us human. I for one will not read or listen to anything negative. You have been through enough and still have quite a road ahead of you. This journey should not be filled with negative things. I will be sending my prayers and positive energy to Bryan and the Stow family like I have since this tragedy began. We love you!!! Stay strong Stow family.

All my support...

Omg! People can be so cruel! Bryans past doesn't have anything to do with what happened to him at the hands of these savage animals!! I continue to pray for Bryan's recovery, for God to give law enforcement the guidance they need to capture every one involved in beating Bryan and for peace of mind to his family and friends.
Best wishes,

Sorry to hear that some ignorant person decided they have nothing better then to dig out dirt on Bryan. I don't think Bryan is an angel but as a human being I don't think Bryan or anyone deserves this. Regardless of their pass. Don't pay attention to this idiots. Give attention to us who love Bryan and we are hear for him because of that. Please know that for that ONE bad comment there is a million of positive comments of Bryan out there. I will continue to pray for bryan and his love ones. We (my daughter and I) love you guys and support you 100 percent.

I don't know what was said negative about Bryan and I don't care to. To Bryan's family: PLEASE don't waste any time at all worrying about what some hateful person posted. I live in Dodger country and we all are heartsick at what happened to Bryan. It was senseless and cowardly and shameful. All of my positive thoughts and wishes for Bryan and his family. I can't tell you how much sorrow I feel for your tragedy. You seem like a strong, loving family and that is all that matters. COME ON, BRYAN...YOU CAN DO IT!The whole world is waiting for you to wake up.

I have to say, I was so happy to hear this morning about the arrest, and that there is enough evidence against this guy his bail has been set at $1,000,000.00 Stow family, don't allow one second of negativity from an idiot to take away a great day. Your family has shown so much class and honor and love that you have touched the hearts and souls of thousands upon thousands. We are all praying for Bryan, for justice to be brought to the thugs that did this, for LAPD and their dedicated work . Dont allow some dumb fly in the ointment to cause you one second of grief. When I was a child, I spake as a child.....we all made mistakes and the real hearts learn and move on....Bryan and his fellow paramedics dedicate their days/nights to help people and we are all greatful to them. Please keep the strength going, know that you have the USA hugging you and Bryan will be getting his tan back before long. Every day is a miracle.

It is truly a disgrace and makes me sick to think someone would do this to a human being. And most saddening, to think we live in a world of hate, revenge, dislikes and who knows what else. We are never safe anymore, whether in a populated city or in the middle of nowhere. What these people did to Bryan Stow was horrific, senseless and no sympathy or compassion to humanity. Sadly to say, they enjoy these type of brutal acts. That's what gangs usually do, and its unfortunate that it can never be stopped. I wanna put myself to a test and see how far sports fans will go when I wear an opposing team jersey next time I go to a baseball game. My prayers are with you Bryan as well as your family. I do hope you recover Bryan, and as for the Cholo gangs, because that's what they are, spend the rest of their lives in jail, but they are better off in the death penalty.

I have seen some jerk going around using the same copy and pasted comment on a number of websites. I left my comment as well about karma coming back to get that person. How dare they add to a family's emotional pain. I can't believe the comments some people make about a man that can't even defend himself at the moment. To make fun of a person that is seriously injured and suffering takes a really sick and cruel individual. Don't let the turds of the world bother you. You are so much better than them. There is nothing more American than going to a baseball game and cheering for your favorite team. Being in a stadium as a fan wanting your team to win and being disappointed when your team loses. What is going wrong in our country when fans brutally and without cause attack another fan because he happens to be wearing the opposing team's apparel. Brian Stow is man whose career is saving lives of people he didn't really know. And now some man or men who really didn't know him beat him simply because he was a fan. How do we explain this to his family and how will we explain it to his children? Even if the person is sentenced to many years in prison, what can we explain how something so horribly insane has stolen Brian's life with any logical reasoning? My prayers are with him and his family. Jackie of Memphis

Good post you guys. Very well said. All I know is whoever would have the audacity to post something negative, judgemental or about something bryan did in his past on a site that is for only positive thoughts, prayers, love and support need to be smacked and should be utterly ashamed of themselves. I don't know anybody in their right mind that would do something so terrible. It sickens me. I just don't get it. As you guys know, I've known bry since he started at AMR and we've been friends for 5 or 6 years and have been a couple for the past year and bry may not be perfect, but he has a heart of gold and is a genuinely kind, giving, polite person. He truly amazes me. Yes, he's a total rockstar and sometimes acts hard, bryan is a softie at heart. At all my family functions, bryan is always the one to make my grandmother's plate of food and serves her and makes sure she has something to drink. LOL! He is so sweet like that. My grandma and entire family loves bryan for many reasons, but he always insists on helping my mom clean the kitchen after eating. He comes to my house and I always cook for him and feed him, and I sometimes have to fight him to get outta the kitchen cause he ALWAYS wants to clean and do the dishes. Bryan is truly a sweet respectful person. But a total character and makes me laugh harder than anyone ever! I love him so much. And only hope and wish for a full speedy recovery. We all need and want our boy back. I'm so glad one of the suspects was caught today. Just a matter of time til the other is caught. I'm hopeful. I love you guys and stay strong for bryan!

The news took a while to get all the way to southern Oklahoma, but I was thrilled when I got it! I know it won't take long for the others to turn up. I'm sure the family must feel relief to know that at least one will be held accountable for his actions, I know I do.

As a former paramedic with a past of my own I have to say that mistakes only count when we don't learn something from them. I don't know, nor do I care what garbage is floating around about anyone out there, noone deserves to be where this family is right now. No one.

God bless and keep standing strong.

Dear Stow family,
I wrote you late Friday or early Saturday and I wish that this weekend would bring you something to hold on to, (maybe more movement from Bryan)
I think you got your something...Giovanni Ramirez was charge with assault deadly weapon. I would have much rather see him be charge with attempted murder but I know the DA is going to go with what they can get him on. I do hope he rots in jail for what he has done to your son & brother.
I am thrill that they did get him and I would think by the end of the week they will have the other gang banger and driver. It just a matter of time. I would assume they know who they are looking for at this point. They just have to nab them up.

FYI: I tend to focus my prayer on Bryan, his kids and his mother Ann as well the rest of the family. Because I know LAPD will get them. Let's be honest here they are not smart they will get caught. I felt they may have had a record(s) for pass crimes or they will commit another crime and will get collar. I think Bryan being part of the EMS system has touch a cord with the PD. They are all brothers and sisters and will take extra care to make sure that the perps that cause this to their brother will be pick up and charge.
I will now ask God to bring you some more good new. Allow Bryan to heal and regain his ability to be who he was. As happy as I am that they got one I personally would have like to read that Bryan had more progress. But I have to remember that everything is in GOD time not what I or you may want. It will be in God time and his time only. Everything happens for a reason.

I love ♥ the Stow family you are in my prayer. Good night and may God be near you in your time of need.

After rereading that posting above it seem to me that it could come off as I am not thinking of you.. and I want you to know I am! I am praying for both Ann and you.

We have one life to live and learn. No matter the mistakes we make, it is what we LEARN and DO from the lessons taught by the stumbling. Bryan shows us the strength to be a better person and rise from bad choices. Those who choose to dwell in his past mistakes have obviously ignored who they are themselves and what they need to be and learn. Peace to the family. Ignore the ignorance of small minded people.

All I can say is THANK GOD they caught the monsters that did this to a very cute and adorable innocent man (I do not judge on what people have done in their past-nobody is perfect and regardless of that Bryan still did not deserve what happened to him!!). I've been watching this case ever since I heard about it on the internet and I'm always checking for updates on Byran's condition-thank you for those!! They should ROT IN HELL for this horrible and senseless crime!!! I'm all about justice not revenge!! I pray for Bryan's full recovery even if it takes a year or more-anything will be a true blessing!! God bless his family and children too!!
Monday, May 23, 2011 9:28 AM
I have been reading and following Bryan's condition since this started. We all now wear his braclets and each time I am reminded that it is on my wrist through out the day I stop and say a prayer for him. I pray for his healing, his kids, parents, family, and friends. We at AMR are FAMILY regardless of what part of the country we live in.

"He who is without sin cast the first stone" I doubt the people who are bringing up issues from Bryan's past could say anything at all if they listened to that one little verse. We all make mistakes, the key is to learn from those mistakes and move on and its apparent that Bryan has done that.

My paramedic brother I will continue to pray!!

The news out of Los Angeles today that one of the thugs was arrested and charged is fantastic. Hopefully it will not be long until the other person and the driver are arrested and charged as well. Hopefully it will not be long until justice is served. As for the idiot(s) who posted anything negative, it doesn't matter what Bryan's past was or wasn't. No one deserves what happened to him and his family. Bryan is a person with a family and friends who love and care about him and for whom he cares and loves and that is what matters. Look at the website and the all of the postings from all over the nation and the world. That is human compassion. We are all happy today that someone was arrested but the truth is, and what is really important, is that Bryan continues to progress toward a total recovery. May God continue to bless Bryan, his family, and all of his true friends and supporters all over the world.

I do not know the Stow family at all but my heart and prayers go out to them. No one should ever have this happen to them for any reason let alone because they root for the opposing team.

I'm sending love and prayers for the Stow family.....Bryan, my hope for you is to open your eyes and return to your family, your friends, and all those who have come to love you through this horrible ordeal.

The first arrest has been made against one of your attackers, that's step one toward justice for the HUGE injustice to you and your family. My thoughts and prayers are with you and will remain with you and your family. And for those individuals who have the audacity to write something negative or mean-hearted on here....shame on you. Just remember....those among you without sin may cast the first stone.

Focus on the positive, and learn from past mistakes....as humans that's all we can do. No one is perfect....if we were.....life would be pretty boring. I want to leave you with one of my favorite quotes...."No one ever said life would be easy....only that it would be worth it." God bless you and the entire Stow family.

With much love and continued prayers.....

Hello Bryan,
Hopefully you will be able to read this in the near future but for now please let me say, Get well soon.
All of you who seem to want to bring issues of Bryan's past have shown such a lack of civility and decency! How can you kick a man when he is already down? How can you show such a lack of compassion to someone who has tried to make amends for the mistakes he has made? He dedicated his like and career to helping save peoples lives! The true callousness of those individuals who feel they need to spot light Bryan’s past just for the sake of what, to make a point? You only show others that you have no compassion! Bryan’s family and kids deserve much better and if you did have nothing better to say then to bash Bryan, then I ask you to comment again and this time show some respect for a VICTIM in this situation! Be the better man or woman and show some humanity and humility!
I for one think this is a true human tragedy where no one wins, especially his kids!
I hope in my heart that Bryan will wake up be able to read all of these well wishes and see that there is human compassion from his fellow man!

Dear Stow family,

Like most Americans, I have followed this story from the start and I am relieved that they have one suspect in custody. I don't know your family but my heart goes out to you and Bryan. It could have happened to anyone and as a father of a young child, I can't fathom why someone would do this to an innocent person. I hope that he continues to improve and gets back on his feet soon!

There are so many people pulling for you guys and helping with fundraisers across the country. Take care and God bless your family during this time. If there is anything I can help with from afar, please do not hesitate to contact me.

You, as his family, say that Bryan is not perfect.
I don't think that any of us who are rallying behind you really care if he was or not.
But....
we can assume that he never beat another human being senseless.
we can assume that he never destroyed a family in such a violent manner.

We are not here to back a saint. We are here to back a young man with a good family, with his future ahead of him.
His past is just that.

We continue to believe in miracles.

Congrats to LAPD. You folks rock !!!

Why on earth would someone's past dictate pure evil? People that enjoy seeing someone hurt because of their past is just plain ridiculous.
ANYONE that spends their nights, days, weekends, & holidays helping others & putting others' lives before their own is an amazing person. I do not know Bryan personally, but just doing what he does for a career makes him an amazing person. I have been keeping up with this story since I first heard about it on the news, because I am the wife of a paramedic. And I can't imagine someone doing this to my own husband. What my husband does (how he saves lives) AMAZES me. I hope & pray that some day Bryan will once again be able to go out & do what he loved. I have been keeping up on Bryan's progress for awhile now. His story touches a nerve with me because, nearly 15 years ago, my favorite brother sustained a traumatic brain injury. (Not in the same way; he was a pedestrian hit by a speeding car.) He spent a month in a coma and six months in a vegetative state. I still clearly remember the highs, lows, uncertainty and heartbreak. I have lost many loved ones in my life (both parents & my sister, among others) but nothing was as hard to go through as that time with my brother. My heart truly goes out to all of you.

I read that you have been taking him off of seizure medications; that's probably a very good thing. With my brother, once they weaned him off of those, we began to see many more signs of life. Before we knew it, he was nodding at us, smiling, even rolling his eyes! I pray for the same--and more--for Bryan.

My heart goes out to you. Please feel free to e-mail me if you ever need support. In so many ways, I have felt your pain.

God bless you all.

Hello Stow family,
I am a fellow Giants fan, and I have been watching Bryan's story since the start of the season. When I saw that an arrest had been made, I was so happy! I know that your ordeal will not be over until Bryan is okay, but I hope that this offers you some peace knowing that one of the cowards will be made responsible for his senseless actions. I have epilepsy, and EMTs have helped me many times. I am not a religious person, but I pray that Bryan can recover so that he can resume helping others. So many people out here are rooting for him because this is a story that we can all relate to. So many Giants fans have had scary moments in Chavez Ravine. So many people have been treated by EMTs. So many people are decent, loving, caring people who value their families. That's why we all want Bryan to get better! You have my love and support.

Don't pay any attention to the negative comments about Bryan, those people have nothing better to do with their time than try and cut down someone who has OBVIOUSLY made a HUGE impact in the lives of others. you are correct, no one is perfect, including myself but we all make mistakes and learn from them and grow from them. I am praying for Bryans recovery each and every day!

I am so happy to see the LAPD caught someone and I hope he turns in the others. This is a very positive development, and hopefully the start of a lot of positive things happening!

It is so encouraging to hear he is having some involuntary movement and is weaning off the seizure meds. Good stuff! I have commented once before and told you about my mother-in-law Melanie who was in a terrible motorcycle crash a few months ago outside of San Diego. Well, I am familiar with these various stages of recovery and believe me this is good. It may feel so painfully slow... but have patience and have faith. Of course we don't know for sure exactly how his recovery will go, but there is NO reason to not believe he will make a complete recovery. Even when Melanie's doctors told us it was unlikely, we had faith, and now she is doing great. She is back home, back to her old self with her beautiful smile and great sense of humor. Of course the other injuries persist and the road to recovery will be long, but she is our Melanie and she is amazing. Bryan will be OK, believe it. I'll be the millionth person to tell you "don't stop believing!"

To Bryan & THe Stow Family,

First, the news that the people who did this, caused this senseless act have been apprehended and I believe the LAPD deserve a lot of credit for their tireless dedication in apprehending these people.

The people who come out and raise questions about Bryan getting "payback" for something that happened how long ago?? NO I DON"T THINK SO!!! He went to watch a baseball game at Doger stadium, root for his beloved Giants and have fun. Nobody goes to the anywhere with a thought that you might get attacked and left to die because you wore the wrong uniform and/or color!! Bryan, his two incredible kids and his family did not ask for this, they did not want this, however because of others, they are now living a nightmare that no family should EVER have to endure. Thier are two kids who want to play with their dad, hug their dad and get a goodnight kiss from him. Instead, they are having to deal with the reality that their father is laying in a hospital bed and cannot do anything; except heal and please God wake up.

I don't know why people would ever say things like they have, I don't know why people want to try to cause more hurt, more anger and more emotions to a situation that is already brimming over with it. HOwever there. FOr now, Bryan, his two wonderful kids and his entire family have my true support, my love and prayers. It is like I said to you already, you have all handled this situation with such grace, positive energy and love that it is inspiring to me. I believe in Bryan, I believe in his ability to wake up, to recover and to live life as well & happy as possible.

PS - plus, his favorite pitcher threw quite a great game on Saturday, Bryan has got to wake up soon to get a glimpe of waht Lincicum is doing this season!!!

Don't let other people and their stupid comments get to you. Everyone knows that no one deserves to be beaten and left for dead after a baseball game! Stay strong and keep each other close for comfort. I wish your family the very best. Concentrate on Bryan and your family and don't spend another minute thinking about idoits who have a computer BUT no real life to speak of!

I hope Bryan will get back on his feet soon. And back to where he wants to be in life. Then I hope to see his name being behind something huge such as a new law. Or that his name will be remembered for what happened. And I will stand behind it. I am an educated person. I hate this whole "gang" breed. We need to get rid of it. I hope this person will be prosecuted once they know for sure he was the person who did this to Bryan. Make him an example. And please don't get stuck with ethnicity, or eventual racial backlash. Let's leave that outside and get some justice. I'm pretty sure Bryan's blood is the same color as the suspect. Human. Today, I would love someone in politics to discuss the fact that anyone belonging to a gang should be treated as a cult member. They are brainwashed idiots. Believing in some dumb violent god, whatever his name would be. They are followers. They are uneducated. They are as dumb as they come. They don't know how to act in public. Complete losers from head to toe. And because of their laziness, they chose the easy violent path to get what they need. Give them some ankle probation monitors, and ship them to middle east for a couple of years with no contact back home. Have them wash the troops' toilets, housekeeping with no bulletproof jackets. Make it as hard as then can for them. Once they are back, have them start their sentence. They have no rights as human beings, none. If you defend them, invite them over to your house for a barbecue next weekend. Let me know how it goes, if you are still alive.
Monday, May 23, 2011 6:41 PM
I'm so happy to hear that the suspects who attacked Bryan were finally brought to Justice. When I heard that Bryan was attacked at Dodgers Stadium, My heart was so emotional because that's so rude and uncalled for

If there's anything I can do to help please let me know. I want to also thank thank the webmaster from this website for allowing me to post their logo on my website. I send an email to my fans on facebook and I was told that their prayers are with you!

i'm terribly sorry for the pain and suffering your family has had to endure. i've been to some pretty hostile environments as a visiting fan, wearing my team's jersey too, but my God, these people should have the book thrown at them... what is the world coming to, when you can't go enjoy a baseball, or football game at the visiting stadium... unfortunately, it must be an LA thing... a friend of mine got beaten with a bat outside of a raiders game years ago, but never the LA cops never caught those guys... anyway, my thoughts and prayers are with you, and your family... God bless, and I hope and pray that Bryan can someday get back to being himself...

A while back I wrote to you about my cousin who experienced a brain aneurysm and was in a coma for 2-weeks. He was also sent to UCSF and had a 4-hr surgery to stop the bleeding in his head. This was just 1-day after going unconcious in his house.

When Bryan wakes up, they most likely will send him to a rehab center iat Santa Clara Medical Hospital, as they specialize in those types of cases. The longer he is in rehab, the faster he will recover, but I'm sure people around you know this, because you must know many EMTs.

Rehabilitation is a little harder at home, as it takes more effort to walk, and do the exercises, when there isn't a set schedule of seeing therapists.

Full recovery will take at least 1-year, but I am very glad to have my cousin on this earth. He too has 2 kids and a wife to care for.

In a way, I am happy they have found one of the men that committed this crime, but my mind and heart is more focused on Bryan's recovery.

Good luck.

Well, for what it's worth, I'm someone who knows nothing about Bryan's past. And I don't need to know, because as this blog post said, Bryan certainly didn't deserve to be beaten to a pulp, no matter what he may have done in his younger years. I'm so glad one of the ugly-hearted monsters was caught; I hope the second one is soon caught also!

Keeping on thinking/sending good thoughts,
Shari K. in San Jose

P.S. I noticed there's another Shari who has commented here, which is amazing since this is an odd spelling of the name. :) I also saw a Sheri, which is actually how I *wish* my name was spelled!

I can not believe that people would go as low as bringing up someones past. We all have a past and like you said no matter what that may have been this did NOT deserve to happen, no one deserves for this to happen to them I don't care who they are. With that being said, I am continuing to pray for Bryan, his family, and his children. Glad to see that LAPD has been working so hard on this case and it has shown, since they got one of the guys. Stay strong and prayers are being sent your way.

I wish the media would just be patient and not release information that could hurt this case, from the capture of the other two suspects, to the prosecution of all three of these scumbags. All information will come out in time, my concern is that justice is done!!! I don't need to know or want to see a pic of the scum they caught on Sun.

The Stow family, during this terrible ordeal, never once grouped Dodgers fans or people from LA or a certain ethnic group, together. They only wanted the two people responsible for this cowardly attack, to be brought to justice.

I wish other people would take a lesson from the Stow family and stop grouping a certain ethnic group together. The scum they arrested maybe Latino, but not all Latinos who go to Dodger Stadium cause trouble.

I have read the news articles about the law suit the Stow family has filed. I don't believe for a minute that the family is not happy and overwhelmed with the love and financial support from everyone across this nation. My opinion and it is only my opinion, is that IF the family is going to win some large law suit, they want to be sure that the Dodger's are also responsible for reimbursing everyone that has made a financial contribution to Bryan's recovery.

This family has been to hell and back in the last few months. And I think people are taking offense to the family looking our for themselves AND everyone else that has contributed to the financial situation their son and family are enduring. Until you walk a mile in someone else's shoes, no one can say how they would handle the situation.

I pray and think about Bryan and his family every day. His children are also innocent victims in this situation. I pray for a full recovery for Bryan. His children deserve their dad back!

To the Stow Family:

It has been a few weeks since I last wrote to you, or perhaps the last email did not go through. One can never tell when I send through my phone. This time, I am not.

I want to start off by saying that this week seems to have brought you, Bryan and his supporters closer to a resolution, although we're not quite there yet. I don't blame you for green lighting the lawsuit yesterday, but I do have to wonder "why the team?" At least, that was my first thought. Then, I had to half rationalize it. Who's not to blame here? After all, I'm just an average Dodger fan who feels just as guilty as the guilty parties themselves SHOULD feel, but probably don't. Our team is in shambles on and off the field, but someone is laying helpless in a Northern California hospital and there's nothing I can do about any of it, however much I wish I could.

There was somebody on Facebook who responded to the lawsuit by saying that "the Stow Family has just lost 50% of their supporters". I do believe some of them have become a bit resentful, but not to that extent. I have too much faith in humanity as a whole to believe it's gone that bad. Sure, as a Dodger fan I'm not happy about it (among other things), but I certainly understand and you're going to do what you feel you have to do and even I can support that.

You haven't lost me. I will never stop loving my Dodgers and I will never root for the Giants, unless it is to benefit my own team (not an issue this year already), but I will always support Bryan Stow, his Family, whatever decisions you make and his recovery process as well.

Again, come back Bryan Stow. Your Family needs you and the world is pulling for you.
# Cheryl

I just stopped by to say hi and check in on Bryan and family. Waiting anxiously for any updates regarding Bryan's condition. I will only comment on "the lawsuit" because I feel the need to voice my opinion because some of the tcomments have been unkind to the Stow family and I might add unfair.

I believe that we are a "sue happy" country and there are slawuits that have been filed by some that would be considered outrageous. However, if my brother, son or husband was lying in a hospital bed unable to walk, talk, smile, eat, hug his children and was basically removed from the living for weeks or months and had a long uncertain recovery ahead of them, I would seek a responsible party.

We know that a low life scumbag ultimately is responsible for Bryan's condition, however, this was a domino effect. He was enabled to do this because of a whole host of reasons and it is the responsibility of the team, stadium and management to see to it that the crowd is safe. Yes, things happen but let me ask this... When a person has an accident in a pool at someones home, hotel or community recreation center.. who is responsible? That's right... the mangement or parent whose job it is to keep a watchful eye, hire lifeguards etc.

Bryan has a long road ahead of him. He may never be the same. Should we pray that he live and recover only to be burdened with a life of debt? Someone should have spent the money to have proper security, lighting etc. Hey, I've got a great idea... Why don't they give the money to the Stow family from all their alcohol sales? Sorry I'm rambling but the people who do not support this family because of this lawsuit should think long and hard. Put yourself in the Stow family.

In the end you gotta do what you gotta do to take care of your own. Bryan was left laying on the ground for 15 minutes was it? Come on people! That is just unacceptable!

Pulling for Bryan! Pulling for the Stow family! All my love from Vero Beach FL...

Stow Family

When I first heard of the lawsuit, I thought good for you. You did what you have to do. This lawsuit will benefit anyone going to a sports evens. Ball parks should have security cameras and well as secuity in the parking lots, seating area and the first sight of somebody actring up, they should be removed. Hopefully this lawsuit will benefit all peoples safety.

The contributions made will never come close to what Bryan's medical cost will be and that doesn't include the loss of income. I had spinal cord tumors removed from by neck and back area back in 1996 and between all of the tests, a weeks hospital stay and the surgeons fee came close to $100,000.00. Thank God I have great medical insurance.

Stick to your guns and I'll always be there for you in my love for you and I'll continue to pray the Rosary daily for you until Bryan wake up and hug you. A hug for one will be a hug for all. Anway on Youtube Bryan's co-workers said he's a good hugger.

I too am a single father of three children. I can't imagine the horror his children experienced through this let alone Bryan himself. Senseless things like this seem to happen more and more in this country and innocent people become victims to such violence. What an amazing thing Barry Bonds is doing for Bryan's children!!!

A friends daughter was in a horrendous car accident a couple years ago and was in the hosptial 4 months - even with good health insurance, the medical bills were in the millions. She has long term needs that you can't put a price on. There is no $ amount you can put on the pain and suffering, not just for Bryan but for the family too. I don't think there was a choice of whether the family wanted or didn't want to do the lawsuit, it's a painful reality. I hope all stadiums will re-evaluate their security.

Keeping Bryan and the family in my prayers.

Who would ever think in their wildest imagination that anyone would be so heartless as to post "anything" negative about Bryan or anyone else that is a victim of violence that has wrecked their life and the lifes of those who love them. I pray for Bryan and his family and please just hold onto the positive, loving & caring comments and hold on tight to your faith.
