My dear family...I am at a loss of words because I too thought phew! The scary stuff is over!! Bryan is a fighter and he will get through this just as he has overcome the all of his obstacles so far! If there was an Olympic medal for fighting for your life, I think Bry would get the gold : ) Bonnie I'm sure you agree!

I'm so sorry that this is happening to you. Bryan I wish there was some way to make it all go away for you. You are such a wonderful person. I'm glad you were able to get into the ER fast and they will take care of you and make sure you are ok. Don't worry the staff there loves you as much as we do. They just can't play favorite with the pt. but trust me you are their favorite.

Wow! again another fear for you; for the Dr to say theose words 'surprised it didn’t kill him' that was hard to read. Like you I thought Bry was not going to have to deal with this near death stuff again. He should know he will be in my prayers as you are. I strongly feel for Bry it's on a need to know basis. I think the less he knows the better. However he has a right to know if he ask. Just give him what he ask for and nothing more. You don't know fully how the information is process in his mind and if he is laying there he might be replaying what you have said to him over and over again and that will build up so much fear. I really hope you mom is not alone. She need someone too. Sending much <3

10 years ago I lost my father to a Tramatic Brain Injury that was caused from a robbery gone wrong. My father survived for 6 months so Bryan's story hits home for me. I have been praying for Bryan and the family since day 1 and will always pray for you. I am working on a children's book about the brain amd would love to somehow add Bryan into the story....

My husband had a blood clot from his ankle to his hip years ago and survived with no long term damage. It does take time to dissolve. My prayers and thoughts go out to Bryan and your family for a similar successful outcome.

Bryan, you've been through so much. You've shown that you are tough and God just wouldn't let this bump in the road to recovery slow you down. My son, Scott, (ER RN at S. J. Regional) says you're one tough cookie and he's an excellent judge of character. Now that you have a filter...this won't be on the worry list anymore. Please know that we're all praying for your continued recovery, especially when the trial starts so you can look the bastards in the face when they get sentenced!

I've been thinking about Bryan the past few days, and I kept meaning to come here and check for an update, but somehow it just didn't happen. It's not unusual for Bryan to pop into my thoughts (and judging from the comments, I am not alone in that) so I didn't really think much of it. But then this morning I saw an article on Tim Flannery's concerts, and mention was made of Bryan's hospitalization for a blood clot. I still didn't realize how serious it was until I finally came over here and saw the latest update.

Wow, I'm so sorry you folks have to be scared and worried - again. It's really not fair after all you have been through. I'm glad you can take a little comfort from knowing that so many people are pulling for Bryan and for your family - just look at all the comments in this one thread!

We're all pulling for you, Bryan, and we're all aggrieved at what you've had to endure. All you can do is give it your best shot, one day at a time. Here's hoping you're out of the hospital by now and back to your care facility (home!) where you can rest and recuperate. You deserve a break, sir.
