News & Updates

Ever since March 31st, 2011, we have had the utmost respect and confidence in the LAPD, and the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office. We will continue to thank and praise them for all their dedication and hard work, regardless of the outcome, even after this is long over. Obviously we want justice, but that wouldn’t even be possible if it weren’t for all that has been put into it. They continued to update us and keep in contact but we were able to put all our focus on Bryan and not think too much about this case. We put our faith and trust into everyone involved and we know that it is important to them as well to see justice prevail in the end of all this.

Just read the latest news and am giving thanks that the judge has decided to prosecute those responsible for Bryan's injuries. I'm sure so many others post about their love and concern for Bryan and all his family, and I want to assure you that I too have followed his progress from day one, and have somehow felt a part of this entire experience. I check often for updates and am always glad to hear the latest concerning Bryan..good..and even not so good. My prayers are sincere and ongoing for everyone involved. I wish I could do more!

God's richest blessings on each of you there. I know it has been a long and difficult road to this point.. and of course the journey continues.

Much love,

Bryan, you are always going to be a BRAVE man!!! TBI is no joke, but the best of all is that you are still here, and able to mingle with your family and us. You are my inspiration!! I know it is hard and frustrating, but you are ABLE through God who created you. I pray to God for your speedy recovery. Love ya!!

I have been following this since the beginning. I am so happy there will be a trial. I know it is supposed to be innocent until proven guilty. As embarrased as I am for this tragedy I do believe they have the right people. I pray for Bryan and his family as this progresses. Justice will be served. I just know it. I will continue to pray for Bryan every day!!

kiThank God! Going to trial, and I too believe in a fair judicial system, but my first thought was how much weight Louie Sanchez has lost. Hmmmm - looks like guilty stress to me.

I am sorry for the families of these cowardly animals too; and in a way, it just says more about them. They had a choice about putting this horrible stress on their family. Bryan didn't.

Hugs and continued prayers
ALWAYS.

Hi Bryan and Family,

I could not stop thinking of all of you last week and was over thrilled when the judge ordered the case to trial!! It is so wonderful that all of the Stow family were able to continue to be with Bryan and help him, not worrying about the case due to all of the confidence in the people who have worked it for so long. I am so thrilled and continue to pray that justice does come.

However I continue to pray for Bryan and his family as well. Bryan has come such a long way and has improved greatly. He along with his family are kept in my prayers as no matter the outcome of the trial, Bryan continues to work on his recovery and the Stow family is always by his side.

Hang in there Bryan, we know that you can make this recovery a complete success!!

Hello Stow Family, I watched reports of the preliminary hearing with growing alarm as the first witnesses were all unable to identify Bryan's assailants. I'm relieved that the judge ruled there was sufficient evidence to order them to trial. But justice may come in the form of a plea bargain at some point, so I'm really glad to hear your family has a good and communicative relationship with the DA's office, as this way there will be no surprises and nothing happening without your consent and notice.

Your last post was so profound that I was left speechless. I did not previously realize that Bryan was unaware of what had befallen him. I continue to be amazed at how TBI patients manage to cope with daily existence in uncharted territory. And through your posts and responses from others like you, now I can be amazed at how FAMILIES of TBI patients manage to cope with the stress and heartache that is your lot. I've said many times that Bryan did not ask for this, but it's worth noting that none of you asked for this, either. So thanks for continuing to share your story here on this website. Every time I catch a Giants game I think of you guys and wonder how Bryan is doing. Cheers, Bryan. Cheers, Stow family.

hello to Bry and Family,
I still wear my SF hat with your P number on it, still toss on my orange and black wristband (though I tend to save it for special events as the letters are starting to fade). As one of the few who still work at AMR in Santa Clara, we your friends here and those who now work at RM (where most work now), are still here waiting to see you come back through that proverbial door so we can slap your hand, hug you tight, and wish you well. I see and work with Evan every week and have seen with my own eyes what can be accompished. TBI is a MF'er but we all celebrate your small successes, for those are what build up to breakthroughs. Thank you to the world for standing with our friend and his family. Go Bryan, Go Giants!

Hi Byran,

I hope you watched the game last night. The first Perfect game in San Francisco Giant history was thrown by Cain and they beat up the Astros winning 10-0!! It was a great game and I am so hoping that you were able to watch.

Bryan and family, I'll be thinking of you tomorrow night when the Giants start game 1 of the World Series. Can you believe how they've played when their backs are against the wall? They never give up!
We will never give up and I know you won't, either.

Two steps forward, one -- or two -- steps back. I know it has been a struggle for all of you, but you have so much love and support among you and from people around the country (and the world)who care. Remember that when you are down.

Bryan, I hope you can watch the ballgame and root for Zito to pitch another gem and the Panda to knock a couple off Verlander! Loved seeing you on the big screen on Opening Day and Tyler throwing out the first pitch - AWESOME! Hope to see you out at the ballpark sometime soon, too.

Giant wishes for continued healing and peace for all.

I'm with Rachel C., I'm checking in on you tonight, Bryan, because I've been thinking about you and your family the last few days. I've got a feeling you've all been going through a tough time lately (understatement of the year, right?) and I just wanted to say that everyone I know is amazed and proud of how far you've come. Bryan, just do what you can do each day and don't worry about the rest. Life is short enough as it is. You've got an amazing family and that's more important than anything else in this life.

Happy May Bryan and Family. The jacaranda trees are blooming here and later spring is definitely in the air. I hope the sun is shining for you, too. I also think of you and your family daily and will forever wish you the very best. I hope this weekend will be a good one for you all. My birthday will be on Sunday. One of my my "wishes" will most definitely be for a healthier and happier year ahead for you, too. Peace and love to you always.

Build a little fence of trust around today..
Fill the space with loving work, and therein stay.
Look not through the sheltering bars upon tomorrow...
God will help you bear what comes of joy and sorrow!

I think of all of you so often, and check to see if any news has been posted about Byran. Mere words just seem so insufficient, but they are all we have to convey what we feel. So again I will just say that we unite with you in spirit and prayer and deep and abiding love for healing and comfort and endurance!

I check almost every day for news about Bryan and the Stowe family. I don't post too often, mostly cause I don't have much to offer. I am still recovering from my stroke almost 4 years ago, and your story and the strength of your family inspires me to keep on working at my recovery. Bryan is so lucky to have a strong family who supports him. I wish you were MY family and I had that strength behind me.
All my prayers go with you

Hard to believe it has been two years isn't it?

I've been a supporter from day one and have posted on a regular basis until January 7th of this year when my nephew (close to Bryan's age) suffered a seizure with a brain bleed. Three months & three surgeries and we are still waiting patiently & hopefully for him to fully wake up.

I now find myself in a hospital bedroom most nights with my nephew but I think of Bryan daily. I will never give up praying for Bryan's continued progress.

I now find myself reading the updates for not only to check on Bryan, for for inspiration that things can get better.

My heart will always be with the Stowe family. Who would have guessed in a million years that after two years of posting on Bryan's website, I would be experiencing this firsthand.

I love you Bryan...keep fighting my friend!

Love and continued prayers ALWAYS!

Bryan, we never really knew each other outside of the ECH ER. I do remember joking with patients and each other, and our amazing sense of humor.

Your progress has been amazing to watch, you have been, and will continue to be in my prayers. Keep fighting the good fight!
